Animal Rescue
Sequoia Humane Society - We envision a community where all animals are treated humanely, all pets live in responsible, caring homes, and euthanasia is no longer a means of population control.
Mirandas Rescue - Shannon and Dean work side by side raising their family, rescuing animals and operating their new thrift store, which opened in March 2006. Along with their staff of amazing volunteers, they take care of 300-500 large and small animals on any given day. This includes many different types of exotic birds, horses, geese, llamas, alpacas, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, turtles, roosters & hens and even Japanese Koi fish too! We’ve even had camels, chinchillas, emus and reptiles such as a python and boa.
BONES - The BONES rescue group was formed to serve the needs of homeless, neglected, and abused animals in the Round Valley area.
Companion Animal Foundation - Companion Animal Foundation’s mission is to raise the status of animals by decreasing the pet overpopulation through spay/neuter assistance, education and adoptions.
Friends for Life - Friends for Life attempts to provide a bridge for animals from homelessness or abandonment to their forever homes.
Humboldt County Animal Services - PetHarbor.Com is a not-for-profit website. We are here to help connect the general public to the large amounts of data kept by the animal-care industry, which includes your local animal shelter, SPCA, Humane Society, county or city Animal Control, and many private animal-welfare organizations.
DogsInDanger.com - DogsInDanger.com is a nonprofit national shelter outreach program at the forefront of a grassroots movement trying to help shelters save the lives of millions of innocent dogs.
